What is LoRaWAN

LoRaWAN uses a low-power wide-area network (LPWAN), which is a type of wireless telecommunication network that allows connected devices to have long-range communications capabilities at a low bit rate. Range is optimized for devices running on the LoRaWAN network. Devices that use the neighborhood network can communicate 200x further than Wi-Fi.

What Is Blockchain Technology?

Blockchain is a system of recording information in a way that makes it impossible to change, hack, or cheat the system. A blockchain is essentially a digital ledger that is duplicated and distributed across the entire network of computer systems. The neighborhood network uses data bits to transfer data packets over LoRaWAN signal which is encrypted using this blockchain technology. Our state of the art equipment encapsulates the devices needed to build our network using this technology.

Affordable Network

Since LoRaWAN is both the communication protocol and system architecture for IoT networks, the LoRa/LoRaWAN technology stack is the best choice for connected cities because of its long signal range and minimal power requirements. Depending on conditions, signals can reach 5 to 8 miles on average. LoRaWan allows a signal to be propagated further than other modules, which means more coverage with less assets in the field. In addition, LoRaWan modules are half the cost of other types modules that propagate signal. Because LoRaWan uses less bandwidth than GPS, the cost to operate our neighborhood network is substantially less.  Additionally, IoT end user devices, such as Lime or Lfyt Scooters, use 30% less battery on the network versus traditional GPS communication. In essence, your community runs its own network using low bandwidth radio frequency versus high bandwidth satellite or cell signal technology to use IoT devices.  See a list of devices used

5G-Coming soon!

Our 5G network uses theunlicensed 3.5GHz Citizens Broadband Radio Service spectrum band  Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) refers to 150 MHz of spectrum in the 3550 MHz to 3700 MHz range in the United States. This technology will provide provide connections up to several miles away, and can support speeds up to 220 Mbit/s. For comparison, Verizon & T-Mobile are currently providing speeds between 47-58 Mbit/s. Again, because our modules are less expensive and easier to set-up, our signal can be propagated more efficiently. We can also provide indoor setups for your business, like coffee shops or restaurants, to keep your customers & employees happy and connected when they need to be. Our modules can be setup anywhere and will not drop off like wifi!
